A few years ago, my husband and I decided to do a photo challenge blog. I named it My 366,000 Words of 2014, based on the idea that pictures are worth 1000 words and I wanted to take a picture a day (it was a leap year, if you were doing the math). It was a fun challenge and I thought, for a moment, that maybe I would continue to do more weird challenges.
But then, life happened. My husband and I went through our own private version of trying to have a baby, preparing for an adoption and eventually becoming parents to our awesome son. While we are still in the stage of parenting a toddler (and are in the process of a second adoption), I thought it was time for another challenge.
I am not a fan of health or life changing challenges that have an expiration date-- "a year without TV", "a year without gluten"-- if I want to make a positive change in my life, I want it to be permanent. So I'm focusing on more silly challenges to blog about. The kind that I can focus on but aren't going to be completely time consuming or overwhelming.
On to challenge one.
Welcome to the year of National "Fill In The Blank" Holidays-- a full year of celebrating.
